JOBDOH

Social mission:

Breaking the viscous cycle of poverty/ low income trap as a result of 1) lacking timely income opportunities, 2) upward mobility, 3) being excluded from the financial and credit system and 4) paying too much for health related expenses.

Business model:

JOBDOH’s current revenue stream is mainly originated from monthly subscription fee.

JOBDOH is developing additional revenue streams, including:

-Wage-backed financing: current wage transfer via e-wallets takes 7 days to deposit into the workers’ account. Wage-backed financing reduces the process time from 7 days to less than 24 hours after workers finished their work.

-Payroll servicing: JOBDOH provides payroll subscription service where the employer funds to JOBDOH and JOBDOH disburses wages to employees on daily basis.-Contract signing and insurance package offerings:

-JOBDOH is developing a mechanism to enable contract signing between employers and employees. We are also in a progress negotiating with insurance companies to provide medical and health insurance available for both parties to purchase.

KPI 2 – Targeting a 15+% income improvement
KPI 3 – Once the insurance is implemented, a decrease in health care expenses

Proposed project with students:

JOBDOH wants to develop a brand new piece-meal healthcare benefits program, where every worker, when obtaining non-permanent jobs from the platform, can accumulate credits and exchange them for discounted healthcare insurance packages.
