  • Social Mission

Active Global provides professional yet affordable homecare in Singapore, Shanghai and Hong Kong. We provide both private (out-of-pocket) home care and subsidized home care (under Social Security in Shanghai, under the Ministry of Health/ Agency for Integrated Care in Singapore). At Active Global, we are committed to 100% ethical recruiting. All foreign workers are recruited directly, and we systematically make sure they don’t have to pay to get a job. We have recruiting offices in India, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Philippines (through a partner), and Indonesia. This is to make sure we recruit the best talent in the field, without worrying about placement fees.

  • Business Model

The client needs to pay a one-time setup fee. 2) Respite Nursing Care, suitable for patients who urgently need caregiving services for a short to medium. Services are provided by Hong Kong healthcare workers and nurses. Services are charged on a daily basis. 3) Home Dialysis, provides nursing supports for those with peritoneal dialysis at homes. 4) Caregiver Course, a Corporate Social Programme that offers a 5-month long weekend caregiving course catered mainly for Foreign Domestic Helpers in Hong Kong. Services offered by Active Global Singapore: 1) Live-in Caregiver 2) Subsidised Home Care (Subsidised) 3) Home Medical 4) Speech and Physio Therapist 5) Home Dialysis 6) Two Senior Care centres opening soon (Subsidised). • Founding Team

Founded in December of 2012, by Ms. Yorelle Kalika (ex-Boston Consulting Group Principal), Active Global set out on a mission to provide affordable home care services for elderly patients and their families.

  • Social Impact

The social impact can be reflected in several perspectives. On the perspective of Patients & Families: Patients improved quality of life with a tailor-made approach for efficient recovery; Families gained peace of mind that their loved one is given the best possible care and able to age at home and stay with loved ones, even with severe medical conditions. In caregivers perspective, no agency fee means a higher net-pay of 25% to 40%; able to continuously support their family as well as save for their future, enhance their experience and skillsets in the process. For the society, reduced need for nursing home beds; reduced hospital re-admission; lower absence of family members at work; having a reliable and competent caregiver to care of elderly, other family carers can be freed up to earn for the family and improve the family financial situation. A cheaper alternative, saving up to half the amount compared to elderly homes.
